Dr. Dominic Ikemefuna Ezemenaka is an Associate Research Professional in the department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Materials Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University (Nigeria) in 2013, Master of Science in Advanced Metallic Materials and Engineering from the National University of Science and Technology (Russia) in 2017, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Engineering from University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2021.
Dr. Ezemenaka’s research generally focuses on materials processing, characterization, and development for innovative engineering applications especially where precise microstructural control is key. He has collaborated with various researchers on multiple scientific and industry-based research projects funded by: NASA (within the Microgravity Research Program), National Science Foundation, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) through Steel Founders’ Society of America (SFSA). He continues to present his research work in both local and international conferences, and he is always open to potential collaborations with private and governmental institutions.
