My name is Xiangyu Wang, and I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Alabama. My research focuses on the intersection of wireless systems, mobile computing, and the Internet of Things (IoT), with particular emphasis on wireless sensing and indoor localization powered by deep learning and advanced signal processing. I received my Ph.D. and M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Auburn University. Before joining the University of Alabama, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow and team leader at Auburn University’s RFID Lab, where I led research collaborations with industry partners such as Walmart, specializing in RFID-based sensing, mmWave localization, and AIoT systems.
