One of the primary responsibilities of an Ambassador for the College of Engineering (ACE) is to provide tours of the College of Engineering facilities to prospective students, families, and alumni. ACEs are responsible for helping with recruitment and outreach events as well as serving as hosts and hostesses for college sponsored events. ACEs are expected to keep up with the growth and development of the College of Engineering.
Applicants must be at least a second-semester freshmen or second-semester transfer student enrolled full time in the College of Engineering. Minimum cumulative grade point average required for application is 3.0, which must be maintained throughout ACE tenure. Applicant must be willing to devote an average of five hours per week to ACE activities during the academic school year.
Students who wish to apply for an ambassador position must attend one of three information sessions offered. The information sessions will be held on the following dates:
- Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 7 p.m. – HM Comer 1026
- Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 7 p.m. – HM Comer 1026
- Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 7 p.m. – HM Comer 1026
Deadline to apply and sign up for your first round interview timeslot is Friday, February 18, 2022 at noon. After submitting your application, stop by 1018 HM Comer to sign up for your interview timeslot.
First round interviews will be held February 23rd – February 25th. Second round interviews will be held March 1st.
All new ACEs must be able to attend a mandatory training session as well as ACE meetings bi-weekly on Tuesdays at 6 p.m.
