Dr. Loveland has been actively involved in engineering education for over 20 years. She was a Teaching Professor at Iowa State University for 22 years before joining the University of Alabama in the summer of 2024. Her interests include the application of fundamental chemical engineering concepts in the Unit Operations laboratory, Chemical Process Safety, and Technical Communication. She teaches several courses in chemical engineering and does research in engineering education as well as process safety and fire dynamics. Her efforts are shared between the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering and UA SafeState.
