Education

  • Ph.D., Mechanical Engineering, University of Alabama, 2025
  • M.S., Mechanical Engineering, Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology, 2016
  • B.S., Mechanical Engineering, Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology, 2013

I investigate rotating detonation combustors (RDCs) as high-efficiency, pressure-gain combustion (PGC) devices for gas turbines, focusing on flow dynamics, wave stability, and nozzle design optimization. My work has demonstrated that rapid-to-gradual (RTG) nozzle geometries can significantly enhance RDC operational stability and performance compared to conventional converging nozzles. The overarching goal of my research is to accelerate the transition toward zero-carbon, high-efficiency energy systems by integrating advanced combustion concepts, renewable heat sources, and machine learning–assisted modeling tools.
